Job summary:

Responsibilities:

Regional sales team:

  • B2B enquiry handling, including qualifying the enquiry, communication guidelines, inclusions and services, overcoming objections, and closing the sale.
  • Build rapport with partners and being a point of escalation as necessary.
  • Develop sticky relationships with partners by showing your interest in them and their customers, beyond just the request at hand.
  • Develop your team's sales skill from your own personal experience.
Business acumen

  • Ability to check team members' bookings for accuracy and correctness and monitor for adhesion to the One Best Way
  • Hold regular meetings with key internal stakeholders to deliver needed feedback and communicate requests from the team.
  • Address and tackle any barriers to sale in your team, implementing change as necessary.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure that all services are booked as needed, is the process working to the best it can?
  • Understand salary packages and KPI calculations for your team
  • Develop strategies to achieve business results and contingencies to achieve those results.
  • Understand how to effectively implement an incentive and the ROI required.
Ongoing development

  • Participate in ongoing trainings to learn about product updates, destination news, supplier news, and other Sales Support sessions.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, customer habits and interests, destination and supplier news, and other topics that will help confirm sales.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 1year experience in the tourism industry or inbound tourism is desirable, but not essential.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English is required and other languages would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPI's
  • Advanced computer skills and the ability to confidently learn new computer systems.

Education requirements:

  • A degree in tourism and hospitality is an advantage.
