  • About the position
  • Sparx* is the leading studio in Vietnam providing premium digital arts and animations to the biggest movie blockbusters and AAA games.

We are looking for an ambitious, passionate yet humble Associate Art Producer who loves office environment but interested in managing art production workflows.

As an AAP, you will be collaborating with the Art Director, Team Leads, Artists and Production Manager to effectively organize, monitor and track asset development for games.

Responsible for the management of information flow during a project.

Taking client requests, recording client notes and mentoring the progress of the crew are all part of the daily responsibilities of the Producer.

In addition, Producer will serve as a key front-line representative of the company and frequently deal directly with client.

  • Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of FX Artists, ensuring they follow approved workflow and pipeline practices to create and maintain consistently high visual effects.
  • Work with the Art Director to set the art style and visual standard for the team.
  • Establish, maintain and incrementally improve visual targets for the projects' VFX.
  • Research and analyze current and emerging visual effect trends and technology and collect reference materials that support the visual quality and style for the VFX team
  • Create clear and accurate technical writing and documentation regarding VFX production for the artists
  • Work closely with the graphic engineering team to develop new or improve upon old technologies to improve visual effect quality. Establish, maintain and incrementally improve VFX workflow and pipeline practices
  • Collaborate with the level design and gameplay teams to create visual effects that support gameplay systems
  • Handle all aspects of the VFX pipeline, which includes creating content from concept to final polished result
  • Work with the Production team to maintain a clear and consistent schedule
  • Supervise bug distribution and verify bug fixes
  • Create a wide variety of realtime special effects using spritebased particle systems along with pixel and vertex shaders; e.g. rain, snow, smoke, explosion, destruction, weapon, fire, geometry, surface shader, and full screen effects.
  • Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of professional VFX experience in game industry as a Senior or Lead Artist.
  • Have shipped AAA titles with experience with realtime VFX authoring tools.
  • Experience in leading VFX team, ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Experienced with realtime engines such as Unreal, Unity or proprietary ones.
  • Critical eye for timing and motion in relation to real world physical behaviors.
  • Understanding of VFX asset costs and impact on console performance.
  • Passion and ability to work as a positive, collaborative, enthusiastic, ambitious and contributing team member with a real desire to work with the team to find solutions.
  • Excellent presentations skills to inspire the VFX team and to present company goals and creative vision to clients.
  • Adaptability to various aesthetic and animation styles ranging from AAA photorealism to stylized cartoon.
