Key Responsibilities

Content Development (30%)

  • Work closely with clients to understand briefs, define project scope, and align on communication objectives.
  • Conduct research on scientific and medical topics, then convert them into clear, compelling messages.
  • Simplify complex clinical concepts into engaging content tailored to different target audiences.
  • Produce a wide range of materials including brochures, patient education leaflets, training content, and digital marketing assets.

Strategic Content Leadership & Quality Assurance (70%)

  • Partner with strategy, medical, and creative teams to ensure all content reflects brand positioning and scientific accuracy.
  • Review, edit, and proofread materials to ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and legal guidelines.
  • Verify accuracy of scientific information through validated data sources, research papers, and clinical literature.
  • Provide editorial direction to maintain consistency, clarity, and high-quality standards across all deliverables.

Qualifications

Must-have

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Biopharmacy, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related healthcare disciplines.
  • Experience:
    At least 4+ years in medical copywriting, scientific communication, or promotional content development within a medical agency or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong understanding of medical/scientific principles and pharmaceutical industry practices.
  • Demonstrated experience producing medical or regulatory-driven content.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and integrate feedback constructively.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in writing clear, precise, and scientifically accurate copy.
  • Excellent English writing skills with strong adaptability in tone and style for varying audiences.
  • Confident communicator capable of presenting and defending ideas in client-facing discussions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in accuracy, data interpretation, and editorial quality.
  • Highly organized, able to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Background working in Pharmacy or Healthcare (especially MNC environments) is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading or contributing to large-scale healthcare communication campaigns.
  • Understanding of APAC and Southeast Asian healthcare markets is a plus.
