MISSION:

As a Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our Mass Customization Platform internationally. Your primary focus will be on system architecture, technical decision-making, and providing technical guidance to the engineering team while working closely with management teams in Japan and Malaysia, including EM, CTO, PdM, and Designer. Additionally, you will collaborate with other software engineering teams in Vietnam who are working on the Japanese mass customization platform, fostering cross-team synergy.

We are looking for someone passionate about building the most outstanding Mass Customization Platform for the Asia-Pacific region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and maintain a scalable cloud-based system architecture that aligns with the product vision and roadmap.
• Develop system interfaces, databases, and code structures to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define software engineering OKRs.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to team members, while also participating in coding and technical problem-solving.
• Drive DevOps and Infrastructure excellence by implementing best practices for CI/CD, cloud deployment, monitoring, and observability.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and cost efficiency across environments (development, staging, production).
• Collaborate closely with software engineers from other teams in Vietnam who are working on the headquarters' mass customization platform.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with project stakeholders across regions.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

Basic Qualification:

• 5+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, version control, build processes, testing, and deployment.
• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable systems.
• Proficient in TypeScript, with at least 5 years of experience in another programming language.
• Hands-on experience in designing and optimizing relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with and improving legacy systems, as well as building and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience designing and implementing asynchronous processing with event streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid background in system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Strong familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS or GCP.

Additional Skills:

• Proficiency in English for collaboration with international teams.
• Strong documentation skills using tools like Notion, ClickUp, GitHub Wiki, etc.
• Comfortable with pair programming and/or mob programming.
• Strong preference for teamwork and collaborative problem-solving.

Preferred
Qualification:

• Experience in SRE or cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Experience in B2B product development and operations.
• Familiarity with User-Centered Design principles.
• Experience with KPI-based goal setting and measuring technical team performance in alignment with business objectives.
• Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia for product development meetings, events, and related activities.
• Hands-on experience managing high-availability cloud environments (auto-scaling, multi-region deployments, disaster recovery planning).
• Exposure to security best practices in infrastructure (IAM, VPC design, secrets management, compliance frameworks).
