Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing product costing, inventory valuation, and cost analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and support strategic decision-making. This role also plays a key part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, optimizing processes within SAP, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance cost efficiency and financial control.

Responsibilities:

1. Product Costing & Inventory Valuation

  • Manage product costing activities and ensure accurate inventory valuation in line with company policies.
  • Monitor standard costs, review updates, and reconcile discrepancies between actual and standard costs.

2. Cost Analysis & Control

  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
  • Conduct cost control reviews and highlight potential areas for cost optimization and savings.

3. Financial Reporting & Closing Support

  • Prepare detailed costing, margin, and variance reports to support business performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with the finance team in month-end and year-end closings to ensure accurate cost data.

4. Compliance & Audit Coordination

  • Ensure all costing and inventory processes comply with Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors on cost-related matters and documentation.

5. System Management & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and update SAP costing setup, ensuring system accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the reliability and timeliness of cost information.

Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Express preferred).
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards (VAS).
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data management skills.
  • Willing to work in Bau Bang Factory (Working time 8:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Friday)
