JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Define and execute the company's AI and software strategy in alignment with overall business objectives
  • Build, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams of Robotics engineers, AI/ML engineers, and software developers
  • Collaborate with hardware, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless system-level integration
  • Oversee development of software for perception, decision-making, manipulation and control
  • Ensure robust data collection, labeling, training, and validation pipelines
  • Oversee architecture and implementation of real-time control, simulation, and infrastructure tools
  • Ensure AI and software systems meet safety, privacy, and reliability standards for deployment in home environments

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant education and experience

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and AI/ML, with at least 2 years in leadership roles
  • Expertise in software architecture, data infrastructure, pipelines, and simulation environments.
  • Advanced experience with model-based (i.e., MPC, optimal control, LQR), and learning approaches (i.e., reinforcement learning, imitation learning, large behavior models) for locomotion and manipulation
  • Experience in perception, planning, and navigation.
  • Hands-on experience with real-time systems, ROS/ROS2, or robotic middleware/high level.
  • Experience deploying AI/ML models on edge devices (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Qualcomm RB5, Intel platforms)

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
  • Proactive, dedicated, business-oriented, responsible and willing to learn
  • Good communication skills, creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
