Why this role?
KONE is seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal advice and manage legal matters in Vietnam. The chosen candidate will play a critical role in managing various types of legal risks and protecting the company's interests, including ensuring compliant business practices.
What will you be doing?
- Provide expert legal advice on various legal matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate sales contracts, other contracts and legal documents.
- Support colleagues in managing and responding to contractual claims to safeguard the company's interests.
- Stay informed on legal and regulatory developments, advising stakeholders on their impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams to share best practices and align legal strategies with business goals.
- Maintain and manage relationships with external lawyers and advisors.
- Offer training on legal and compliance topics relevant to the business.
- Develop, implement, and update legal policies and guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide support with compliance matters.
Are you the one?
- Bachelor or Master of Laws or equivalent legal qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of Post Qualification Experience from working in a multinational company or a leading law firm.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese.
- A proven track record of managing a legal role independently and succeeding in an international working environment.
- Familiar with local jurisdiction laws and regulations and market practices and understanding of contractual and legal issues, risks and liabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to express yourself clearly.
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability and ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction industry experience and familiarity with FIDIC contracts is an advantage.
