Test Practice Manager

Lead the Testing Practice including managing the test team, and establishing a Testing Center of Excellence (CoE), in alignment with global practice methods and approach. This role combines practice leadership, with overseeing delivery, and solution consulting to ensure high-quality outcomes for clients and to position NCS as a trusted partner in testing and quality engineering.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Practice Leadership

• Manage and mentor the test team across multiple projects and accounts.
• Represent NCS Vietnam in the global practice leadership team and contribute to global initiatives
• Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting for functional and non-functional testing for large or strategic engagements.
• Provide delivery assurance, risk management, and escalation support for all engagements.

2. Testing CoE Setup

• Localize and implement NCS global testing standards, training materials, methodologies, and best practices.
• Champion the use of AI and intelligent automation to improve testing productivity and outcomes.
• Develop reusable frameworks, templates, and accelerators for testing for inclusion in global practice assets.
• Drive continuous improvement across global assets and innovation in testing practices.

3. Consulting and advisory

• Conduct short-term consulting engagements such as test process reviews, maturity assessments, test assurance reviews, and test strategy creation.
• Advise clients on enterprise test and quality strategies aligned to Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery models.
• Provide insights into how AI and analytics can enhance test optimization, quality governance, and defect prevention.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of client-specific quality and testing policies.
• Quantify business benefits of implemented improvements to quality and testing.

4. Client and Sales Support

• Act as a trusted advisor in solution discussions with clients.
• Provide thought leadership on testing strategies during pre-sales and delivery phases.
• Collaborate with architects and delivery leads to integrate testing into solution design.
• Support scope definition, estimation, and resourcing plans for testing opportunities.

REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years in software testing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience in setting up Testing CoE and defining enterprise testing strategies.
• Experience in embracing AI for improved testing outcomes
• Experience in conducting test assurance or advisory across large implementations
• Consulting background with experience in client-facing solution design and advisory.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Proficient in English (written and verbal) for stakeholder communication.
