ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Associate/ Consultant Role, Divisional Controls provides first line controls, compliance and risk assurance support to management of their aligned business.  This role supports driving risk and controls awareness, understanding, and change. The role assists management to develop adequate systems and controls to identify, assess, quantify and manage the risks in the relevant business. Cores responsibilities include, event validation and root cause analysis, reporting and insights to the Head of DCO or Business Unit leadership team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the risk management activities of ET's business units, ensuring the business units understand the technology risk and compliance management frameworks and make risk-informed business decisions.

• Assist with conducting detailed technical assessments to uplift controls and processes, in a fast-changing technology landscape.

• Supporting 1st line risk activities (in a 3LoD model), including but not limited to:

  • Managing risk events: investigate what happened, root causes, and corrective actions.

  • Designing risk controls: identify what-could-go-wrongs (WCGWs) in operations processes and technology environment and the actions to address these WCGWs.

  • Policy compliance: address policy non-compliance with proposed sound technical/ procedural solutions.

• Actively managing and reporting on risk activity in GRACE.

• Drafting business assessments, deep dives and management papers.

• Supporting ad hoc initiatives as they arise.

• Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• (Preferred) Strong technical experience, either generally across a broad band of technology areas (e.g. cloud infrastructure management, SDLC/ CICD, containerisation, mainframe management, network security/ management) or deep diving into a specific technology area.

• Exposure or Strong interest to Technology risk management, 1st line risk activities within an operations environment.

• Proven experience in operating effectively and delivering solutions in large complex organisations, working and influencing across teams and domains.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills- including reporting and analysis. Able to work with senior stakeholder management.

• Exposure to documenting controls through design workshops, control reviews and/or process walkthroughs.

• Risk management and compliance disciplines.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Time Management and self-starter who can work independently.
