Integrated Wellness Practitioner

Overview

Besides practicing his/her area of expertise, the successful practitioner will perform wellness screenings, advice guests on lifestyle changes and create personalized programs. 

Purpose

As an Integrative Wellness Practitioner, you will be responsible for recommending holistic therapies, fitness and yoga practices, retail products and nutritional advice to help guests to maintain a healthy life style, eliminate impurities, reduce stress etc. with a strong emphasis on revenue generation. To carry out personalized one on one consultations and conduct group and private sessions.  To provide on-going training for Spa and Resort hosts and therapists in areas of wellness; revenue generation and to assist the manager in planning, organizing to meet the Six Senses standards. To operate and work in accordance with standards prescribed in the Six Senses Spa Manual. To perform session as required to the highest possible standard

Operational - Wellness Screening & Programs

• Conduct the wellness screening as per company standards. To provide the highest level of service to guests, that which is safe, hygienic and creates the ambience to ensure high guest satisfaction and also organization profitability in an atmosphere of teamwork and high employee morale.
• Based on the findings, create a health program for the guest that they can follow (free of charge) at home as well as (paid) services from the spa to improve their health. 
• Communicate program to all needed departments to ensure a smooth implementation across the spa/resort. 
• To maintain up to date Guest profile sheets, updating database with guest body types and any special requirements. 
• To maintain a close liaison and daily catch up meeting with gym team to ascertain progress of guests on the Integrative wellness program.
• To evaluate the operations and procedures and suggest improvements to the Spa Management.
• To have a Holistic approach to his/her profession.

Administrative/ Reporting

• Record monthly the number and revenue of direct and indirect wellness revenue as per template
• Assist Spa Manager for integrative wellness financial reports.
• Log all service & product recommendations. 
• To attend departmental meetings as required.

Sales & Marketing

• Together with the Spa Manager/Director create a marketing plan of how to promote the screening to guest before and during the stay of guest, involving all needed departments.
• Create together with the Spa Manager/Director an lead generation and sales goal and take active measures to achieve these goals. 
• Activities to promote the wellness screening at the location by the IWP includes to perform workshops and lectures pertaining to own professional field, to meet the guest in public areas to promote the Spa and to actively encourage guests to have repeat integrative wellness consultation follow-ups either in the spa or other Six Senses Spa's which feature integrative wellness.
• To communicate with spa manager for press release or recent development in spa. 
• To provide wellness related content for Spa Social media.

Training, Development & Coordination

• Ensuring in cooperation with the HR/training department (if available) that all hosts in the spa/resort are aware of the wellness offers (all wellness projects) and can communicate the offers to guest, using available training material, "Cheat sheets" and if necessary creating own materials.
• Together with the Wellness Manager/Director and HR coordinate wellness initiatives in the front and back of the house. 
• Identify knowledge gaps within the resort and work together with the HR/training department (if available) to fill them 
• To assist in providing departmental orientation to newly recruited staff.
• To assist on the training with Spa Reception on treatment sequencing for best results of packages and treatment combinations. 
• To conduct complimentary activities for hosts.
• To assist resort reservations team to actively promote integrative wellness and encourage leads to be passed to enable conversions.
• Attend regular wellness webinars organized by headoffice.
• Ensure the standards and methods of service are maintained as per Six Senses Spas manual.
• To work in liaison with the Spa Management to maintain all training standards.

Equipment & Room

• Ensure the consultation rooms meets the standards.
• Take active measures to ensure all needed equipment is available and in good working order at all times. 
• To ensure that the Integrative wellness equipment is stored and used in a secure manner protecting the asset and ensuring confidentiality of the guest personal details.
• To carry out monthly stock count for wellness screening equipment such as electrodes, disinfectant etc. and communicate to Spa Manager.
• Take pro-active measures to ensure all needed items are available at all times.
• To report any breakage or mal function of any items at the spa and follow up on the repair and maintenance.

General

• To develop and maintain effective channels of communication throughout the Resort and Spa department.
• To establish good guest relations and rapport with all spa hosts and guests at all times.

• To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Spa policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements: 

• Vietnamese Candidates
• At least 2-3 years experience in Spa & Wellness industry.
• Have a medical certificate
• Have Yoga Instructor Certificate
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Resorts, hotels or Destination Spa experience is a plus.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Passion to assist and support others.
