Senior Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant to support and drive the configuration and migration of core financial processes, particularly Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 Finance. This role will play a key part in delivering a successful enterprise-wide migration for a large, complex organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional configuration of AR and AP modules within Dynamics 365 Finance, aligned with business and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with the business and technical teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement system configurations
  • Support the migration of financial processes and data from AX 2012, ensuring integrity, completeness, and compliance
  • Work in a cross-functional Agile team to deliver sprint-based outcomes, including solution design, testing, and user training
  • Support post-implementation activities including issue triage, troubleshooting, and enhancement recommendations
  • Assist in integration testing with upstream and downstream systems including inventory, procurement, and external financial systems

Your Skills and Experience

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in ERP implementations with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (formerly Finance & Operations)
  • Proven hands-on experience configuring AR and AP modules in D365 Finance, including workflows, payment terms, settlements, invoice journals, and aging
  • Solid understanding of finance business processes and accounting principles
  • Previous experience migrating from AX 2012 or other legacy systems to Dynamics 365 Finance
  • Strong documentation, testing, and training capabilities
  • Experience working within an Agile delivery environment for large-scale organizations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and IT teams

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare, medical, or pharmaceutical sectors
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to finance in Australia (e.g. PBS, TGA compliance)
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (Finance Functional Consultant Associate or equivalent)
  • Experience with LCS, RSAT, and Azure DevOps for project delivery
