I. Main Responsibilities

Procurement Management:

  • Source and purchase grocery and daily food items from qualified suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure product quality and availability.

Profit & Performance Optimization:

  • Manage pricing, cost control, and profit margins.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to drive category growth and optimize profitability.

Inventory & Quality Control:

  • Monitor inventory to prevent overstock or shortage situations.
  • Implement quality control standards and ensure food hygiene and safety compliance.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and mentor the MD team, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations.
  • Foster teamwork and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Supplier & Market Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Conduct market research to understand consumer trends and competitor activities, ensuring competitive product offerings.

Compliance & Budget Control:

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
  • Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and report financial performance.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensure consistent product quality, availability, and pricing to enhance customer experience.

Other Duties:

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.

II. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and FMCG market.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the food industry, with 4 years in FMCG or retail.
  • Proven track record in managing Daily Foods category or similar product groups.
  • Strong merchandise planning and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly responsible.
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to results.
