Position Title: Release Train Engineer (RTE)

Level: Senior

Type: 1yr Renewable contract

Location: based in either Hanoi (Hoan Kiem) or HCMC (District 2 )

Purpose

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is responsible for managing and coordinating delivery within the Domain operating model. This role partners with product owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders to plan delivery, resolve and escalate impediments, manage finances and risks, and drive relentless improvement.

As a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART), the RTE supports the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile frameworks, enabling new and better ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Devise and manage delivery plans across diverse Agile development teams to ensure strategic alignment.
• Manage financials, including resource planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Ensure effective communication and reporting to keep stakeholders updated on delivery commitments.
• Provide coaching to squads and facilitate resolution of delivery-related issues.
• Lead Agile release planning and execution, including breaking down large units of work into epics and features.
• Manage dependencies, remove roadblocks, and collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to drive outcomes.
• Act as an escalation point for impediments, risks, and issues.
• Drive continuous improvement by assessing agility levels and optimizing the flow of value.
• Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Agile practices and foster a collaborative culture.
• Oversee release readiness, including SIT coordination, approvals, and deployment planning.
• Build and maintain a strong, capable, and engaged delivery team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, IT, or related field from a recognized institution (preferred).
• Agile certification (desirable).
• Minimum 8 years of project management experience on major IT projects.
• Strong experience with Agile and adaptive delivery models.
• Proven track record of delivering consistent results within large, complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Solid business awareness and commercial understanding.
