Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Industry: Construction, Real Estate

Reporting to: CEO / Group CEO

Location: Ho Chi Minh

Role Purpose

The CFO is accountable for driving the financial strategy, capital structure, and fiscal governance of the company. This role ensures the organization has the financial capacity, control systems, and operational discipline to execute large-scale construction and real estate development projects efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute long-term financial strategy aligned with project pipeline and business growth objectives.
  • Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow planning for multi-year development cycles.
  • Ensure optimal capital allocation across projects, subsidiaries, and investment ventures.

Project Finance & Investment

  • Structure project financing, including bank loans, bond issuance, joint ventures, or investor partnerships.
  • Evaluate project feasibility, IRR/NPV analysis, sensitivity modelling, and ROI metrics for development projects.
  • Lead financial due diligence for land acquisition, M&A, and asset divestment transactions.

Financial Operations & Controls

  • Establish robust financial controls, accounting policies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Oversee treasury management, cash flow, banking relationships, and payment control processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with local regulations and IFRS/VAS.

Risk Management

  • Identify financial, operational, market, and compliance risks across ongoing and planned developments.
  • Implement risk mitigation frameworks, insurance strategies, and contingency plans.
  • Monitor contractor performance, cost escalations, claims, and variations impacting project budgets.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead the Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Legal/Compliance teams where applicable.
  • Act as financial advisor to CEO and Board; prepare and present financial performance and forward-looking metrics.
  • Maintain trusted relationships with investors, banks, auditors, government authorities, and key business partners.

Key Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • MBA or CPA/ACCA/CFA preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 12–18 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Proven track record as CFO or Finance Director in construction, real estate development, property investment, or infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrated success in securing project financing and managing large CapEx structures.
  • Strong familiarity with local real estate law, taxation, and compliance frameworks.
