What is the job?

As Accounting Supervisor, you are responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities in both
cost control
and
accounts receivable
, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. You will supervise junior finance team members, support the Finance Manager in preparing financial reports, and help enforce financial discipline across departments.

Your day to day Cost Control Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain systems to monitor and control hotel costs, especially F&B costs.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, establish par stock levels, and monitor waste/spoilage.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B team on recipe costing, portion control, and menu pricing.
  • Ensure accurate records of storeroom issues, transfers, and food usage.
  • Perform spot checks in kitchens, butcher areas, and bars to ensure SOP compliance.
  • Monitor minibar usage versus revenue and investigate variances.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, reconciliations, and inventory closings.
  • Ensure compliance with CSA (Control Self-Assessment) standards.

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:

  • Oversee credit policies, customer billing, invoicing, and collections.
  • Process credit applications and perform credit risk assessments.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and monitor city ledger aging reports.
  • Handle account disputes, chargebacks, and refund procedures.
  • Supervise AR records, ensure timely invoicing and payment follow-ups.
  • Organize monthly credit meetings and maintain proper documentation for all AR functions.

Supervisory & Reporting Duties:

  • Provide guidance and training to junior finance team members.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the Finance Manager.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and audit requirements.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings and support ad hoc assignments as needed.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
  • At least
    2 years of relevant experience
    , preferably with supervisory exposure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Opera/SUN/other hotel systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of English (both written and spoken).
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently or in a team.
