R&D HC Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE

• The main responsibilities are developing new packaging and deliver saving to service growing need of the business. He/She also handles import and export projects.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

• Lead & land on time in full packaging projects: superior innovations (global big bets, local inititives), promotion bundle, sampling, cost optimization, quality improvement for Homecare VN.
• Ensure that all the mandated product development protocols, packaging action standard and safety are addressed, from design to commercial: design and/or design input, sufficient pilot and commercial phase technical validation at supplier and Unilever/3P factories through appropriate testing protocol
• Oversee HC import/export project from R&D perspective. Ensure technical management process is followed and implemented.
• Good understanding & experience on the following systems and processes (or similar) – 1UPP (Unilever Packaging Process), Packaging specification Management in AWS, Artwork management via BLUE, Product Lifecycle management/SAP, Risk management, SHE and Consumer Relevant Quality Standards
• Manage supplier, project network along with cross functional teams, including MKT, MSO, Procurement, Finance, Production, QA . Ensure proper risk assessment & mitigation plan are in place
• Work with GTM and MKT to understand feedback from consumer/customer and align needful plan for quality improvement

SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Packaging technical skills: fundamental packaging knowledge, understand how to validate new design from pilot to commercial.
• Formulation and processing skills: fundamental formulation and processing knowledge that can communicate with key stakeholders and customers of import and export projects. Able to suggest the best fit in current portfolio to meet customer needs.
• Problem Solving: Able to resolve issues independently and collaboratively with the project team.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: communicating and working effectively with various departments such as marketing, supply chain, procurement and production.
• Technical Project Management: lead technical validations from pilot to commercial phase, ensure risk is managed from early phases. Ensure the projects are completed efficiently and effectively, meeting the required standards and timelines.
• Supplier management: ensures alignment on specifications, test methodology and other technical related agreement.
• Good commands in English

EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE

Essential

• Graduate with Bachelor degree preferably in Science/Engineering
• Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in Packaging & Formulation development in FMCG industry. Working knowledge in laboratory analysis and lab sample preparation/evaluation.
• Able to prioritize and organize effectively for short and middle term workplans
• Practical experience in engaging and managing suppliers and 3Ps
• Practical experience in lab, pilot plant, factory. Understand principle of processing and quality control.
