Position Overview
:

We are seeking a highly capable and knowledgeable Deputy Head of School to support the Head of School in academic operations, school governance, and compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of MOET regulations, Vietnamese educational expectations, and how to align them with international school standards. The ideal candidate will act as the cultural and regulatory bridge between expatriate leadership and local authorities, ensuring that all programs, policies, and operations meet both international best practices and Vietnamese legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Ensure full compliance with MOET regulations, licensing requirements, reporting obligations, and other local education laws.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with MOET departments, local authorities, and external regulatory agencies.
  • Support academic planning, curriculum alignment, and instructional oversight to meet both local and international standards.
  • Lead and support school-wide initiatives involving Vietnamese staff, ensuring clear communication across all levels.
  • Provide leadership in student affairs, discipline, attendance, and academic reporting as required by MOET.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, accreditation preparation, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support daily school operations and decision-making alongside the Head of School and senior leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong and up-to-date understanding of MOET regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial role in a public, private, or international school in Vietnam
  • Experience with IB standards and international accreditation is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with expatriate leadership teams.
  • Strong communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
  • Excellent knowledge of Vietnamese educational procedures, documentation, and requirements.
  • Demonstrated capability in school operations, academic oversight, regulatory coordination, and accreditation preparation.
