Vice President of Engineering

Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's vision, goals, and growth plans;

Provide leadership and oversight for the Tech Division, ensuring their performance meets business requirements and industry standards;

Collaborate closely with the executive team to integrate technology-driven initiatives into the company's overarching strategy;

Proven expertise in managing budgets and optimizing resource allocation to achieve business objectives;

Collaboration with HR team for Tech Talent Development including org-chart building, recruiting, training, promotion and reward;

Be in charge performance of 5 teams: Product, QC, Data, Mobile Apps, Web Apps and Backend:

Product & QC:

Review & oversee with Head of Product the Product team, ensuring the development of user-centric features that address customer pain points and align with business objectives;

Define and prioritize the product roadmap, balancing innovation, market demands, and technical feasibility with head of Product to ensure that product development is aligned with customer feedback, market trends, and internal goals;

Engineering & Backend:

In charge of engineering research & initiatives & partnership to accomplish higher standard with latest technologies and vendor collaborations such as AWS, FPT….;

Review & oversee Engineering team to design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems;

Oversee system architecture and infrastructure to ensure high availability and minimal downtime;

In charge of Tech key projects such as Map, Pooling as project owner;

Drive the company's operation focus to build internal toolings and automation processes powering Ahamove staffs such as internal CRM/Admin/Automation … while ensuring security, authorization, auditing and other enterprise aspects;

Web & Mobile Apps:

Oversee the development, maintenance, and performance of the company's Web Applications, ensuring they deliver an excellent user experience;

Ensure the Web App's compatibility across various devices, browsers, and operating systems;

Data:

Drive the company's data governance strategy, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations;

Build and lead the Data division, including Data Analysts (DA), Data Engineers (DE), and Data Scientists (DS), ensuring their work aligns with the company's objectives;

Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics platforms, supporting real-time and batch processing needs.

10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 7+ years managing cross-functional technical and data teams (Product, Engineering, Backend, Web App, Data);

Proven track record in delivering large-scale software systems, managing complex data operations, and driving innovation, preferably in the logistics or e-commerce industry;

Prior experience leading engineering teams in product-driven organizations is a strong plus, especially in scaling products and aligning technical strategy with business growth.

Proficiency developing backend in Golang, Nodejs or Python;

Proficiency developing frontend in React or similar web frameworks, and strong Javascript experience;

Cloud development experience;

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields;

Familiarity with running large scale web services; understanding of systems internals and networking are a necessary;

Solid understanding of system performance and scaling;

Possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills, able to think critically of the current system in terms of growth and stability;

Detail oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-moving, highly collaborative, ambiguous environments;

Able to express complex technical concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences;

Strong understanding of how to navigate technical and architectural discussions ;

Preferred Qualifications;

Ability to work autonomously and prioritize work with minimal input;

Proven ability to collaborate and communicate across a global team and with external partners;

Time management and multitasking abilities;

Experience with process change management or process improvement.
