Promptly escalate any abnormal findings/concerns during PM activities to the appropriate person and participate in the repair/resolution of the issue. - Participate in training/upskilling of technicians to create a culture of safety and excellence around PM activities. - Ensure assigned PM - Work instruction from CMMS system are carried out timely and comply with PM requirements. - Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment. - Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing process and equipment issues. **Education/Experience**: - High School Diploma or equivalent is required. - No post-high school degree: - Four or more years mechanical, electrical or process technician experience as a primary job function, or two or more years’ experience as FS EMT II. - Journeyman or other trade certification strongly preferred in lieu of post-HS degree - Associates (2-year) degree in a technical discipline: - Three or more years mechanical, electrical or process technician experience or 2year experience as FS EMT II. - Bachelors (4-year) degree in an engineering/technical discipline: - One year mechanical, electrical or process technician experience or 1 year experience as FS EMT I. **Required Skills/Competencies**: - Safety first mindset. - Extensive verifiable electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge. - Extensive Verifiable hands-on troubleshooting/repair skills. - Competency in maintaining and repairing a wide variety of manufacturing/process toolsets such as those found in a high-volume PV manufacturing facility. - Self-directed, able to work with mínimal supervision. - Good written and oral communications skills in English. - Able to troubleshoot and solve equipment issues on the manufacturing line. - Able to deal with administrative as well as technical tasks. - Must be capable of pulling reports and entering data or pass downs into/from the CMMS system. - Able to identify recurring issues and develop/communicate improvement recommendations. **Essential Responsibilities**: - Assist on-site service and repair of equipment. - Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed. - Executes planned equipment experiments, collect and analyze data and report experimental results. - Participate in Kaizen or other Tool performance improvement project - Transitions new equipment and processes through start-up, qualification, and implementation. - Provides training to junior Technicians. - Develops and update internal documentation including drawings, standard operating procedures, and process specifications. - Interfaces with internal associates and supplier representatives, as required, to complete assigned projects. - Develops a complete understanding of area processes, equipment, and support systems. - Maintains effective communication with other members of the manufacturing team. - Adheres to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards. - Will complete First Solar EMT 2 training programs. - Other duties as assigned. - Ensures waste materials are discarded in their designated containers. **Reporting Relationships**: - This position will not have direct reports. **Travel**: - Travel for initial onboarding training in other FS manufacturing facilities may be required. - Little to no travel required (
