Assistant Cost Manager

The data centre sector is key to Turner & Townsend and as part of our continued investment in the sector, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cost Manager to join us. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to work as part of a dynamic team working with Clients throughout the UK and Europe.

Your CV and experience will demonstrate that you have successfully undertook cost management of civils, structural, architectural works at Cost Manager level. Experience within the data centre sector is also ideal. Individuals will have excellent technical skills and be able to work as part of a team and take ownership for their element of delivery.

You enjoy leading clients through all stages of projects from feasibility, pre-contract and post contract ensuring value for clients.

This role will suit individuals with experience in negotiation, procurement, post contract cost management, contract creation, execution and analysis to maximise operational and financial performance, reduction of financial risk and continuous commercial performance. It will also be expected that you will have experience in commercial pricing, modelling and strategies to drive value for money for the client.
**Qualifications**
- Responsible for total cost management of projects delivering positive outcomes for our clients
- Able to deliver full range of QS services from design stage to close out of projects
- Carry out cost management and contract administration duties with reasonable supervision and guidance
- Quantity measurement, Cost planning, bill of quantities, VE (value engineering)
- Procurement process from pre-qualification, tender document, PTE, tender assessment, contract document
- To monitor and verifying VO, Claims, Payment, Final Account and attending project meetings.
- Produce monthly cost report
- Cost studies, market survey for commercial aspects
- Familiar with contractors/subcontractors/suppliers from construction industries in Vietnam market
- To provide all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
- Pro-actively interface with clients and other consultants, at all project stages

**Additional Information**
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering/Construction Economics/Transportation
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Auto Cad, and other software related to QS services e.g CostX, BIM
- Experience working on a range of projects across industry sectors particularly in public sector, mixed development, industrial, semiconductor, lifescience/pharma, data center, hi tech, infrastructure etc
- 4- 10 years experience in Cost Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Team player with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
