**Position Summary**:
The Lead, Lab Manager - Footwear will manage our dynamic material lab testing environment ensuring our T1 (shoe factories) and T2 (key material supply partners) follow our manual and maintain the resources to perform our testing procedures. Our Lead updates our Lab Manual, spec sheets and requirements working with Under Armour approved laboratories according industry norms. This position requires proficiency of the UA Lab testing manual for footwear materials and finished footwear. This regional Lead position partners with HQ Proving Grounds and assists in the transfer of material test methods and requirements for new technologies from innovation to in-line UA teams and factory partners.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Partner with Material Operations teams and ensure the material quality is correct for the use purpose
- Meet with T1 factory Lab, update testing standards, explain the change and details to ensure all T1 factory labs understand the change and all T1 factories are accurately performing tests
- Analyze material failure, cooperate with Development and Material Operation team for material override evaluation and process streamline
- Partner with Chemical Engineering, Costing, Packaging, and guide supplier on-boarding activity and Centric documentation by material type
- Manage lab operations of T1 (factory) and T2 (material supply) following UA test methods and requirements
- Instrumental in creating, modifying, and updating UA lab testing methods and requirements
- Provides material supplier on-board/off-board training to UA internal teams and Asia region supply partners
- Provides active on-site and virtual training of material and finished goods test methods, requirements
- Partner with global team to update the UA Lab Manual, spec sheets for ease of use and common understanding
- Participate with team to build quality module in Centric for lab testing
- Train T1 (factory) and T2 (material suppliers) in Centric quality data input and maintenance
- Manage annual lab audits with UA approved 3rd party lab partners
- Conduct training and mentoring to factory and material supplier labs technicians
- Assist all global teams on lab testing questions and concern
- Assist with questions related to Restricted Substance testing, requirements, and documentation
- Support teams on sustainability projects

**Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)**:

- Knowledge of RSL (restricted substances list), ZDHC (zero discharge of hazardous chemicals), Higg (FEM/FSLM/MSI) suite of tools
- Knowledge of lab partners; BV, Intertek, CTI, SGS
- Knowledge of certifications; Global Recycle Standards, BlueSign, Oeko Tex, ISO 14000, etc.
- Chemical Engineering, Lab and Sustainability experience is a must

**Education And / Or Experience**:

- More than 10 years of experience
- Footwear Chemical Engineering and Lab Industry experience
- Strong Leadership/Managing experience

**Other Requirements**:

- Travel: IE- 5-10% of the year
- Program Experience: PPT, Excel, Word, Adobe,
- ISO, FEM.
