The QA/QC Specialist ensures that all furniture manufacturing processes and export activities meet SUNPAN’s quality standards and comply with international regulations, particularly for shipments to the United States and Canada. This role manages quality control procedures on the manufacturing side and ensures proper documentation and compliance with international standards throughout the production and export process.

**PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & OBJECTIVES**
- Acting as a liaison between Sunpan’s Head Quarters and the factories in Vietnam.
- Handling all aspects of trouble-shooting and problem resolution with product development and production within factories in Vietnam.
- Interpreting CAD drawings and following up with the execution of the concept phase.
- Creating and managing calendars and timelines for samples and production runs.
- Taking responsibility to ensure the program milestones are reached on schedule, including costing, sampling, quality control and material(s) approvals.
- Communicating schedules, objectives, requirements, and critical next steps to the cross-functional product team on a timely basis.
- Managing the costing and quoting process and ensuring the validity and accuracy of all costs from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Researching, identifying, and developing manufacturer’s capabilities and capacities with a keen focus on quality, brand alliance, importing & drop ship capabilities, as well as long-term growth potential.
- Ensuring that new products meet all company-defined objectives, as well as industry standards and customer requirements
- Coordinating factory communication for the development of samples, establishing timeline of raw material management and approval requirements.
- Overseeing the production of specifications, and ensuring they are maintained and communicated effectively.
- Developing, implementing, and managing new processes and documents as needed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the product development process.
- Maintaining a high standard of professional decorum and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, peers, managers, and other key stakeholders
- Serve as the key liaison between our head office team, designers and suppliers with a core focus on quality control, quality returns Coordinating and perform quality audits from initial development at sample stage to production Other responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned by Management
- Creating a feedback loop to vendors for corrective actions and proactive implementations to improve the overall quality

**KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- English and Vietnamese required
- 2-4 years of QC experience in the furniture industry.
- Experience in testing standards and compliance.
- Post secondary education in relevant field.
- Demonstrates exemplary teamwork and maintains the respect of others.
- Strong Project Management Skills.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ensure compliance to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Qarma an asset.
