- **Position**: Mold Tooling Specialist
- **Report to**: Production Senior Manager
- **Working time**:8:00 - 17:00 | Monday - Friday
- **Location**: DEEP C 2B Industrial Zone, Dinh Vu, Hai Phong
- **Job Overview**:

- Mold Tooling Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing aluminum die-casting molds and mechanical machining molds used in the production of door closers. This position focuses on understanding mold design principles, collaborating and coordinating with vendors to ensure mold designs meet technical requirements.
- The job includes planning and conducting regular mold maintenance to ensure quality and extend mold lifespan. The engineer will also handle mold-related issues during production, analyze root causes, and propose effective corrective actions.
- Additionally, the role involves participating in mold design improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste. The job requires skills in reading technical drawings, troubleshooting, and training the technical team on mold operation and maintenance. This position ensures mold stability, contributing to the optimization of production processes and product quality.
- **Responsibility**:
**1.**Mold Design and Management:

- Have a thorough understanding of aluminum die-casting mold design principles and mechanical processing mold design as applied to door closer product lines.
- Coordinate with mold vendors to discuss, evaluate, and optimize mold designs to ensure they meet product requirements.
- Read, analyze, and verify mold design drawings before production.

2. Mold Maintenance and Servicing:

- Develop periodic maintenance plans for aluminum die-casting molds and machining molds to ensure stable product quality.
- Monitor mold conditions, perform maintenance, and replace components when necessary.
- Propose corrective solutions to extend the mold’s lifespan and improve its performance.

3. Troubleshooting Mold-Related Issues:

- Quickly analyze and resolve issues arising during production related to aluminum die-casting molds.
- Coordinate with the production and QA departments to ensure product quality is not affected by mold issues.

4. Mold and Process Improvement:

- Research and propose mold design improvement solutions to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Conduct testing and evaluate the effectiveness of molds after improvements.

5. Training and Technical Support:

- Guide technical staff and workers on proper mold operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Develop operation and maintenance manuals for the molds.
- **Requirement**:
1. Education:

- Graduated from a university or college in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or mold engineering.

2. Experience:

- At least 3 years of experience working with molds, aluminum die-casting molds or mechanical machining molds.

3. Technical Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of aluminum die-casting mold design and operation.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mold-related technical issues.
- Proficient in reading and modifying mold technical drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 3D design software).

4. Soft Skills:

- Good communication and negotiation skills to work with suppliers.
- Strong organizational, time management, and teamwork skills.

5. Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of quality standards and mold management.
- Experience in mold design, optimization and improvement.
