- Source suppliers for electrical and mechanical parts as required in boat manufacturing
- Manage cost reduction initiatives for all purchases.
- Negotiate best price, delivery lead-time and most favorable commercial/trade terms for the company
- Prepare Purchase Order (PO), monitor and follow up delivery until arrival to the factory.
- Regularly review status of all PO and communicates with supplier and production team for any changes on required delivery date
- Regularly review material shortages in production to understand the root causes and prepares the plan to eliminate or at least minimize occurrences.
- Ensures that PO and payment process are reconcile and any variance/discrepancy is settled accordingly.
- Coordinate closely with Planning team, Warehouse team and Logistics team to ensure that required parts are ordered on-time and delivered on-time to the factory.
- Manage purchase master data in ERP such as unit price, MOQ, MPQ, Lead-Time and supplier payment/trade terms and other data
- Continuous sourcing for alternative suppliers or products/parts that will bring overall savings to boat’s final product
- Conducts supplier performance management systems for existing and new suppliers
- Manage also purchase requisitions from other factories SSY, X51, which requires travelling to these factories for coordination of requirements.
