**Position: EY-12 School Psychologist**
**Reports to: Elementary and Secondary Principals**

The school psychologist is a key member of the Student Success and Intervention Teams tasked with
helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. The position holder collaborates with
teachers, leadership, parents, and other mental health professionals to create a safe, healthy, and
supportive learning environment for all students to support students achieving academic and personal
excellence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administering, analysing and reporting the results of a range of psychological educational, and
socioemotional assessments to build an accurate picture of a student's learning, cognition and
behavioural tendencies.
- Making formal expert recommendations based on testing or other educational data and working
closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that support student
learning and well-being.
- Maintain student records, including learning plans, confidential records, records of services
provided, behavioral plans, and any other relevant student data.
- Refer students and their families to appropriate community agencies for medical, vocational, or
social services.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs and other services,
such as behavioral management systems.
- Making formal expert recommendations based on testing or other educational data and working
closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that support student
learning and well-being.
- Attending Student Intervention Team (SIT) meetings involving multidisciplinary teams to contribute
on how to best meet the social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs of the students.
- Participates in the Admissions process by reviewing files, reports and ILPs of students who have
been identified with specific learning needs, making recommendations on the admissibility of
students.
- Collaborates with counselors and other mental health professionals in the school to provide
immediate support and intervention during crises, and develop prevention and response
strategies.
- Engages in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school
psychology.
Position Requirements**
- Advanced degree in Psychology or equivalent
- Must hold or be eligible for certification as a school psychologist by a recognized certifying body
- Prior significant experience working in an educational setting, preferably in an international school
- context- Knowledgeable regarding best practices and Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)Desirable skills/knowledge
- Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions
- Capability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure environments, manage interactions

with individuals experiencing stress and emotional turmoil, and adjust swiftly to urgent and
unexpected situations.
- Familiarity with educational software and technology tools used in assessment and intervention.
