**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Model Development and Fine-Tuning**
- Fine-tune pre-trained generative AI models (e.g., GPT, Claude) using domain-specific datasets.
- Design and implement parameter-efficient tuning techniques (e.g., LoRA, adapters).
- Evaluate and improve model performance using benchmarks and success criteria.

**2. Prompt Engineering**
- Craft and optimize effective prompts for various AI tasks, such as text summarization, classification, and Q&A.
- Design dynamic and context-aware prompt templates for retrieval-augmented generation workflows.

**3. Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)**
- Integrate generative AI models with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Elasticsearch) for retrieval-augmented workflows.
- Optimize retrieval and ranking algorithms to ensure accurate responses.

**4. Data Handling and Preprocessing**
- Preprocess and structure data from diverse formats, including Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and scanned PDFs.
- Implement OCR (Optical Character Recognition) pipelines for extracting information from scanned documents.

**5. Backend and API Integration**
- Deploy AI models via RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems.
- Collaborate with backend developers to ensure end-to-end functionality and scalability.

**6. Performance Monitoring and Optimization**
- Track model performance (accuracy, latency, error rates) and implement strategies to improve.
- Monitor AI systems in production to detect and resolve issues proactively.

**7. Collaboration and Documentation**
- Work closely with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to align AI solutions with business goals.
- Document all workflows, including datasets, prompts, and fine-tuning configurations.

**Key Required Skills and Qualifications**

**1. Technical Skills**
- **Machine Learning and NLP**:
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and NLP techniques.
- Experience with transformer-based models (e.g., GPT, BERT, Claude).
- **Deep Learning Frameworks**:
- Proficiency in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers.
- **Generative AI**:
- Hands-on experience fine-tuning generative models and crafting prompts.
- **Data Handling**:
- Expertise in preprocessing text and document formats using Pandas, NumPy, and Tesseract OCR.
- **API Development**:
- Experience deploying AI models via APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
- **RAG and Databases**:
- Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate) and RAG workflows.

**2. Programming and Cloud Skills**
- Proficiency in Python for AI/ML development.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), especially:
- Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and Lambda for AI/ML workloads.
- S3 for data storage and retrieval.

**3. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**
- Strong analytical skills to interpret model outputs and identify optimization opportunities.
- Ability to design experiments and validate results for performance improvement.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) for AI solutions.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Kibana, MLflow).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Previous experience working on chatbots or conversational AI.
