Job Summary
The Clinical Advisor position, which is part of the BD Biosciences (BDB) Southeast Asia (SEA) team, contributes to driving engagement with the external stakeholders and key opinion leaders, to address their unmet needs on the advanced clinical assays and elevating their experience on BDB team’s scientific expertise and supporting the market development activities for these assays.
The role includes supporting the SEA BDB team in engaging with customers in the capacity of medical and scientific affairs (MSA) expertise in the region, thus driving the medical/scientific communication and supporting the development of evidence generation plans aligned to the tailored needs of customers, country, and product development priorities.
Job Responsibilities
- Build a strong relationship and network with key external stakeholders and key opinion leaders of the BDB clinical portfolio in SEA.
- Serve as the point of contact for the medical and scientific affair-related user interactions and communications in sync with the regional and global MSA.
- Support in the medical, legal, and regulatory review and approval process of the advertisement and promotional content.
- Review project proposals and funding requests, from the SEA customers requesting sponsorship for scientific studies/research work related to BDB products, from the medical and scientific affairs perspectives and provide important insights/inputs to the global team responsible for the grant approval process.
- Provide medical/scientific input to the product development team.
- Develop collaboration with customers/researchers to generate evidence helping in the knowledge and expertise sharing on clinical flow cytometry assays.
- Support the marketing team in devising and executing key initiatives supporting the market development objectives of the advanced clinical assays, KOL networking, and driving educational and scientific learning programs, in alignment with the global and regional strategies.
- Organize and support key customer-facing educational activities such as seminars/CMEs, conferences, workshops, etc. in alignment with SAE BDB marketing strategy.
- Develop a strong understanding of the BDB clinical product portfolio and prioritize the initiatives and action plans as per the business needs.
- Work in sync with country regulatory affairs and business teams to identify the impact of changing regulations on BDB clinical product promotion and selling, and provide inputs to the country and regional marketing team.
- Review and provide feedback for scientific/medical reports, supplemental submissions, and other post-marketing commitments towards product approvals and registrations in SEA.
Our Requirements
- MBBS, MD, or Ph.D. in science is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital or clinical lab or organization, with direct reporting** flow cytometry**-based clinical assays viz. leukemia and lymphoma, measurable residual disease (MRD), primary immune deficiency, etc. **Clinical flow background**.
- Experience in similar positions of clinical/scientific/medical affairs, in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated corporate environment is desirable.
- Should have either prior experience or keen to work within a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
- Fluency in written and oral English
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 20% of the time.
