RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Group Business Manager will lead and manage the “business” of AV’s eye healthcare facilities - both strategic and operational - and will understand and pull key levers to ensure that targets are met. The role will involve:
- Leading and overseeing the day-to-day operation of AV’s facilities, to drive their profitable growth, smooth running, high-quality patient care delivery and full compliance;
- Seek to continuously optimise the facilities’ business model, to ensure sustainability and enable the accelerated achievement of (sometimes competing) success metrics;
- Leading new business and market development, including developing and launching new facilities to support the Group’s growth objectives.
- Acting as an integrator across teams and departmental* lines, to ensure work-streams are connected and overarching business objectives are achieved;
- Leading performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities;
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with key partners and stakeholders, to further AV’s goals; and
- Clinical and finance departments
As an executive team member, the Group Business Manager will also:
- Work closely with the CEO to set the AV Group strategy, optimise the business model, as well as support fundraising and investor / funder relations; and
- Build AV’s organizational culture, ensuring team members thrive and organisational outcomes are met.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
Essential Experience:
- Hands-on experience growing a (profitable) business in the healthcare sector, ideally within the healthcare facilities industry
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
