**The Role**:
**Role responsibilities**:

- Recruitment: Actively engage with international prospective students through various channels to promote undergraduate and graduate programs. Assist with research and development of the international marketing strategy and implement-approved plans in coordination with the university’s Assistant VP for International Enrolment.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with academic departments and other stakeholders to stay informed about program offerings and changes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for applicants.
- Events and Outreach: Represent the institution at international events, fairs, and educational exhibitions to promote our programs and establish partnerships.
- Counselling: Offer support and counselling to international students, addressing queries related to admissions, academic requirements, and campus life. Serve as a liaison between the Office of International Student Services and international student applicants and their families.
- Other duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned during the annual admission cycle.

**Key skills and experience**:
**Essential Requirements**
- Educated to degree level (or with equivalent professional experience), with a background in student recruitment or a similar student-focused environment, and a demonstrated commitment to inclusive, equitable engagement and support practices.
- Extensive international travel required, both domestic and internationally (approximately 50%)
- Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends. Must have a valid driver’s license and passport.
- Possess or quickly develop a thorough knowledge of American ‘s international student visa regulations, and general knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of admission processes and academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with diverse cultural backgrounds and an understanding of international education systems.

**Desirable Requirements**
- Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification in business or marketing. A qualification from the American or familiarity with the American education system would be desirable, but not essential.
- Overseas study or living experience.
- Experience of developing marketing campaigns and using social media as a communication tool.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Southeast Asia higher education system and understanding of the range of issues relevant to students contemplating studying overseas
- Strong planning ability around developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans.
- Good interpersonal skills including networking and relationship management
