**About the role**
To support the growth and development of our project pipeline for both the C&I/Corporate On-site business and for larger Offsite Programs for Corporate offtake (VPPA). The business development function shall focus on C&I solar PV rooftop project development origination, managing MNC Key Accounts and facilitating channel/partner discussions with our broader management teams for any commercial upside to the business (short / long term). The position will be based in Vietnam.
What You Will Do
- Utilize own network and develop a company network in Vietnam to originate, evaluate and negotiate commercial & Industrial (C&I) Solar PV Projects. Develop relationships with Multinational Corporations (MNCs) and large local companies and explore all opportunities for On-Site and Off-site development needs.
- Manage and communicate with key client accounts in Vietnam - Prepare and present proposal to clients.
- Secure and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and larger Direct PPA (dPPA) arrangements for corporate offtake.
- Conduct market mapping and scanning activities to generate new business development opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Establish partnerships with developers, EPC companies, chambers and associations or any other company that could accelerate sourcing pipeline of C&I projects or large solar sites for development.
- Assessment of new project opportunities, approval from management and support functions on technical and commercial appraisals.
- Obtain internal approvals for project execution & Investment.
- Develop best practices and tools for sourcing and evaluating projects.
- Travel and plan for marketing roadshows and client engagements.
What You Bring
- Build a 3-year strategy with a yearly improvement in pipeline opportunities and commercial returns.
- Manage yearly target deliverable and achieve a minimum 25% conversion rate from opportunity to execution.
- Manage commercial resources and align capacity and capability towards improved productivity in proposal generation, network management and client satisfaction.
- Develop the local team’s competencies and ensure market execution
- Strong network of multinationals, large local companies, and government agencies in Vietnam.
- Essential that the Key Account Manager possesses excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a strong ability to explain complex technical topics, including the ability to give persuasive presentations to clients.
- Understand PPA contract terms and the different contractual models for solar PV.
- Experience working for an international organization (Chinese, Korean, European, etc) strongly preferred.
