I. Position Summary
Our Channel Sales Manager is expected to work closely with the National Sales Leader and play a strategic role in identifying and managing high impact opportunities within the sales channel vertical (e.g., retailers, wholesaler, Commision agents, small pharmacies). The success of this role will rely largely on your ability to shape sales strategies and initiatives that will drive sales performance and develop key relationships.
Location: HCMC or Hanoi
II. Key Responsibilities
Building Strategic Relationships with Our Partners (B2B, wholesaler, sub-dealer, distributor)
- Selection and appointment of the right channel partners through internal assesment process and agreement development and reviews.
- Develop strategic relationships with high value stakeholders (e.g. wholesaler, agents, retailers, small pharmacies) both within existing channels as well as newly identified channels
- Continuous and timely reviews of business achievements, challenges, and fine tuning sales strategies for the channel partners.
Sales Forecasting and Planning
- Develop sales forecasts as inputs into the overall demand planning and the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes
- Analyse sales and industry trends and make appropriate recommendations to ensure long-range planning needs are met
Ongoing Fulfillment and Delivery
- Oversee the regular order-taking, fulfilment and delivery post-conversion, interfacing with distributors if needed
- Develop sales strategies to better meet customer needs
- Drive growth across channel portfolios to a multi-distributor business model strategy
Managing Distributor Performance
- Responsible for driving the achievement of sales budget, profitability, and partner recruitment objectives.
- Cultivate and build strategic relationships across a network of distributors to expand and capture potential business opportunities across the region
- Train and motivate distributor salesforce team
- Ensure fulfilment of customer orders by distributors
- Manages potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement.
Strengthening Sales Teams
- Lead and oversee channel segments
- Address hiring needs for sales teams
- Leverage on the BD Way of Selling to ensure teams are engaging customers in a standardized way
- Support distributor salesforce teams in day-to-day demand generation by providing sales tools needed and making sure utilization of these tools.
III. Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Business/Marketing/ Biological/ Medical Sciences/ Medical Technology.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant sales, marketing or business development experience in medical devices.
- Good command of English (i.e., written and spoken)
- Strong business acumen
