**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Develop, and monitor the implementation of operations strategies, policies and processes of Vietnam business.**
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and objectives for the operations team to support the achievement of strategic business objectives.
- Develop and execute operations policies and guidelines including underwriting, claim, policy servicing, distribution services (MIS, sales payroll, intermediary licensing and management, distribution supports) to ensure smooth operation of business and maximization of profit margin.
- Develop and implement operation strategies and programs to deliver operational improvements across all areas of the organization leveraging internal and external benchmarks - working across the organization and within Operations.
- Define and establish plans and KPIs that deliver reduced unit and overall costs and process improvement on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor and control the operations to ensure appropriate controls are being implemented within the team. Take ownership for the overall risk management of the operation, including the alignment to pricing assumptions and business continuity.

**Lead the local operations team to ensure excellent delivery of service**
- Guide and coach, the team to develop customer-centric service delivery. Provide leadership and direction to the organization covering New Business, Claims management, processing and call center activity, distribution services and facility & office management.
- Continuously review and update policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and to ensure operation efficiency.
- Continuously assess the operational risks of the operations and recommend appropriate remedial actions.

**Ensure that all operations and activities undertaken comply with legal & regulatory requirements and MetLife’s direction**
**Co-operate with Authorities (ISA/ MOF; MOF, MoIT etc) and Insurer Association of Vietnam (IAV) in reporting, product approval, authority inspection etc as Authority relation.**

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Proven track record in leading insurance operations and services team
- Strong insurance technical background with local insurance knowledge
- Possess broad-based knowledge of the Insurance business and local practices.
- Possess strategic thinking.
- Possess strong commercial thinking and business acumen.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively both internally with all levels of management & MetLife executives, JV partner and externally with regulators.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to present operations management advice to business in simple terms and within business context.
- Courageous leadership - able to lead, inspire and develop the team.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills - able to make business aligned and timely decisions.
- Fluency in spoken and written English
