**Main Purpose of Role**:

- Develop and execute communication strategy and programs, with focus in building stories that deliver high impact results across 5 key areas: Corporate brand (Unilever), Media Engagement and Relationships, Award and Recognition, Proactively Managing Issues, and Driving/ Supporting the Business.
- To ensure that the company's external communication is effective, consistent, and aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- To manage high quality media relations thru various communication channels, such as mainstream media; websites, social media, organizing events,
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns for continuous improvement.
- Effectively work with and support communication related works of Vietnam Business Units and SEAA regional team members, as well as Global team, to achieve desired outcomes.

**Main Accountability**

**Strategic Communication and** **Storytelling**:

- Work with the Head of Communication and Corporate Affairs, Vietnam in the development and execution of corp communication strategies and programs; stakeholder management programs that support the organization's goals and objectives, strengthen company’s position and enhance brand awareness.
- Creating and managing external communication materials such as press releases, speeches, newsletters, and presentations.
- Deliver impactful external visibility for Unilever through storytelling. Include but not limited to: corporate /enterprise stories; premier employer/employee stories; business unit & brand stories upon global direction and local priorities.
- Monitoring, analysing and evaluation of communication metrics to ensure the effectiveness of communication strategies and make continuous improvement.

**Media Engaging and Management**:

- Facilitate a high quality media and partners engagement and management. E.g. Developing and maintaining relationships with media outlets, leaders, journalists and trade associations to ensure positive coverage of the organization.
- Act as technical advisor for the employee communications when requested
- Work with the Vietnam leadership on strategic enterprise-wide communications, through editorial and content support, Quarterly media engagement/meetings, cascading of business priorities, consultation and toolkits/templates. Take ownership for external and internal scorecards and updates.
- Manage and promote the Unilever corporate website, turning it as one of the main channels to external key stakeholders.

**Driving/Supporting the Business**
- Deliver communications across Vietnam that will build Unilever’s and brands’ awareness, position and market share.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
- Align to the global plans and drive employee communications that increase the understanding of Unilever’s corporate brand.
- Training team members on effective communication practices and ensuring that all communication aligns with the organization's values and mission.

**Award and Recognition**:
Scan and address opportunities for corporate reputation recognition/awards/executive visibility, in coordination with other functions within C&CA and other Business Units.

**Proactively Managing Issues**:
Work closely with Head of C&CA and regional/global team in proactive and reactive managing crisis communication and developing strategies to respond to negative publicity or issues that may arise.

**Agency management** including budget and account management. Ensure PR agencies are optimally managed - from having contracts in place to ensure ROI and value for money.

**Experience Required**:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree - preferably in English, Journalism or other communication-related major.
- At least 6 years working experience in MNC/FMCG industry
- Proven record in managing media and editor relations; stakeholder relations; business, brand and corporate communications; and issues/crisis management.
- Excellent Communication Skill; including digital communication skill.
