Chief Accountant

Report to: Head of Finance

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions and reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements (separate and consolidated reports), including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial data and insights for decision-making and strategic planning.

2. Tax Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and submit tax reports (VAT, PIT, CIT, FCT) accurately and on time.
- Serve as the main contact for tax authorities, banks, and other government agencies regarding accounting and finance matters.

3. Team Leadership:

- Mentor and provide guidance to the accounting team, promoting professional growth and ensuring high-quality work.
- Conduct training for new staff to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.

4. Financial Planning & Budgeting:

- Manage and control the annual budget and weekly payment plans to ensure optimal cash flow and smooth operations.
- Support the Head of Finance in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing input and analysis.

Key Skills and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Chief Accountant Certification is required; CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3-4 years as a Chief Accountant in the fintech industry or related fields.
- Strong understanding of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP or Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
