**Overview**

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Country Manager - Vietnam & Cambodia in implementing Deakin University’s international student recruitment plans, and in achieving the University’s objectives in Vietnam and Cambodia.

The Recruitment and Administration Assistant is required to work collaboratively with Faculties, Divisions and other areas across the University, including external stakeholders, and is expected to contribute to the development of strategies that lead to increased international student enrolment targets from Vietnam and Cambodia.

The Recruitment and Administration Assistant is involved in all aspects of administration, international recruitment, promotion and assessment of genuine student (GS) requirements in Vietnam and Cambodia.

**Responsibilities**

**Administration**
- Support the Country Manager with coordinating internal stakeholder visits from Deakin University.
- Support and administer the process for all GS documentation and preparation.
- Manage and co-ordinate administration tasks associated with marketing and recruitment.
- Assist with the translation of social media initiatives, print publication and relevant materials assigned by Country Manager.Liaise with suppliers to receive quotes for producing marketing/promotional merchandise, with the approval of Marketing & Communications.

**Student Recruitment**
- Develop expert knowledge of Deakin University’s key selling points, courses, student support services and Australia as a study destination.
- Identify and propose new recruitment opportunities.Coordinate pre-departure events for students each trimester.

**Agent Management**
- Develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with Deakin’s agent network, to ensure they are appropriately trained to maximise their potential as recruitment channels.
- Provide updates to the agents to ensure that they are aware of their obligations under the Australian National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018 and have a thorough understanding of Deakin’s key selling points and courses.As required, monitor agent performance and promptly report issues to the Country Manager for action.

**Relationships**
- Internal relationships: Admissions, Faculty, International Marketing, Alumni Engagement.External relationships: Government bodies/Associations, Agents, Universities, high schools.

**The Most Suitable Background**

Training/Qualifications (or equivalent experience):

- A University degree, ideally in marketing, business, or communications.

**Experience**:

- A track record of success in international student recruitment is highly desirable.

Special Requirements
- Regular work outside business hours is required (e.g. work at evening or weekend events is required).
