Material Sourcing Manager

**About the Job**

Transformer Robotics is looking for a strong Material Sourcing Manager to find and develop new material suppliers to strengthen the company's supply chain management

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Strategic Development of Raw Material Supply Base

- Design and implement forward-looking strategies to enhance raw material supply networks, focusing on security, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Monitor and forecast market dynamics to proactively manage supply risks and cost volatility in collaboration with internal stakeholders and finished goods suppliers.
- Cultivate a robust and agile supplier ecosystem by aligning finished goods partners with top-tier raw material sources.
- Explore new sourcing avenues, alternative materials, and emerging suppliers to bolster supply chain resilience and adaptability.

2. Driving Cost Efficiency & Supply Chain Excellence

- Utilize predictive analytics and market insights to support finished goods suppliers in securing favorable raw material procurement terms.
- Recommend cost-saving initiatives through supplier collaboration, material innovation, and value engineering practices.
- Stay abreast of global commodity pricing and geopolitical developments to ensure competitive and flexible sourcing strategies.
- Implement benchmarking tools and supplier performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in cost and operational efficiency.

3. Proactive Risk Management & Continuity Planning

- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in raw material sourcing.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans, including backup and alternative sourcing strategies, to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Promote supplier diversification by guiding partners toward regional and global sourcing models that reduce dependency risks.
- Partner with compliance teams to uphold regulatory, environmental, and ethical standards across the raw material supply chain.

4. Supplier Engagement & Strategic Influence

- Identify, select, and manage high-performing raw material suppliers aligned with business objectives.
- Create structured engagement frameworks to foster collaboration between finished goods suppliers and raw material vendors.
- Build strategic alliances with key suppliers through influence and relationship management, securing access to premium materials.
- Inspire supplier-driven innovation by encouraging investments in technology, sustainability, and operational excellence.

5. Cross-Functional Leadership & Strategic Alignment

- Serve as a strategic advisor, delivering data-backed insights on global sourcing trends to inform executive decisions.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure raw material strategies support long-term growth.
- Lead initiatives with finished goods suppliers to enhance supply chain agility and strategic sourcing capabilities.
- Advocate for digital transformation in procurement, integrating AI-powered analytics and predictive tools to refine supplier selection and performance.

**Job Requirements**

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10-15 years experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, or global procurement.
- Demonstrated success in crafting future-ready sourcing strategies, enhancing supplier performance, and executing cost optimization programs.
- Deep knowledge of market intelligence, supplier strategy, and cost modeling to anticipate and address sourcing challenges.
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making using procurement analytics and key supply chain performance indicators.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to link macroeconomic trends to sourcing initiatives.
- Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities, especially in managing supplier relationships without direct contractual authority.
- Fluency in English & Vietnamese.
