**TIALOC VIETNAM - MECHANICAL DESIGN MANAGER**

**MECHANICAL MANAGER (DESIGN TEAM), beside work in Tialoc VN, will support Engineering team in Malaysia.**
**WORKING PLACE: 672A Song Hanh, Ha Noi Highway, Phuoc Long B Ward, Dist 9, HCMC, Vietnam.**

**WORKING TIME: 8AM - 5PM (Mon - Fri)**

**Task and Responsibilities**
- Plans and directs all aspects of mechanical engineering activities within an organization including scheduling engineers for work, assigning tasks and reviewing their performance as well as solve internal issues
- Manage mechanical engineering competence and state-of-the-art expertise by recruiting the right competent engineers and develop team members by providing training, coaching, supporting, counselling, and disciplining engineers
- Forecasting mechanical engineering requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions within the department
- Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts for mechanical system and project and ensures on-time tender submission by collaborating with other leaders to estimate competitive cost and solve problems quickly
- Provides mechanical engineering recommendations and technical support on mechanical engineering reviews, strategic plans, and projects
- Ensures all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.
- Supervise and lead engineers who design, plan and develop mechanical system in project basis and ensure complete projects by supporting and conducting design reviews per established project plans, determining and resolving open action items, constraints to closure, and project risk elements
- Enforce proper configuration control and document release processes as well as keep detailed records of all pending and completed work orders, maintaining these files in an organizationally implemented record-keeping system
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with codes and legal regulations.
- Guides and coach the mechanical engineers to write planning and design outline and commitments; track design work, collect and report technical problems in the process of design; review and provide advice on design drawings of each stage
- Make detailed department plans to accomplish organizational goals
- Any other tasks as assigned by superior

**Requirements**:
**Education**:

- **Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering**:

- LEED accreditation preferred

**Working Experience**:

- **Minimum of 10 years’ experience** in engineering **design **and project Management or Construction Management within the industry

**Technical & Professional Knowledge**:

- Demonstrate proven skills as a team leader and motivator
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with progressive leadership skills

**Good written and spoken English**
- Considerable knowledge of industry standards, building codes and practices, construction law, guidelines and procedures
- Good presentation skill

**General knowledge of CAD and BIM**
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical design and analysis; CAD, thermal environments,

**Special Requirements**:

- Willing to travel; domestic and/ or international

**Job Type**: Permanent

Ability to commute/relocate:

- District 9: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
