Senior Business Systems Analyst

PATH is currently recruiting for an Information Technology (IT) Senior Business Systems Analyst to support requirements and solutions analysis for a portfolio of projects as approved by the IT Strategy Council at PATH. Projects reflect a mixture of systems supporting operations such as Finance, Global Risk & Compliance, Legal, Travel and others, as well as some projects in support of PATH Program work in global health. Activities for this role will include requirements elicitation and documentation, gap analysis and evaluation of potential 3rd party solutions, configuration and implementation of solutions, and process reengineering and mapping. The job location will be in either Vietnam or India or Kenya.

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst is responsible for executing business systems analysis and mentoring, with an eye toward helping to educate our business partners on the most effective way to engage with IT. This will mean helping our business customers clarify and refine their requirements and developing the user stories needed to ensure that the technology solutions delivered meet the needs of the business. The role collaborates closely with the IT technical team and business stakeholders to select, design, and implement quality IT systems that deliver business value. The Sr. Business Systems Analyst role also encompasses some light-weight project management to help ensure success for the activities in which they are involved.

**Responsibilities**:
Business Systems Analysis
- Collaborate with business owners to facilitate definition of business requirements and set appropriate expectations.
- Translate customer needs into user stories and requirement statements, with an emphasis on clear, concise statements of need.
- Participate in and/or lead the evaluation of current systems and potential third-party products, including gap analysis.
- Contribute to, or lead stakeholder efforts related to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quote (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP) and the selection processes for potential replacement solutions.
- Create roadmaps and refine sprint backlogs to provide clarity of feature set priorities and iterative approach to navigate to end state.
- Ensure proposed solution adheres to enterprise-wide requirements and adapts to new requirements and changing technologies to meet business needs today and in the future.
- Configure and implement solutions for trial evaluation or pilot.
- Process reengineering and mapping.
- Coordinate with business partners, mentoring as needed for user acceptance testing.

Project Management
- Support the development of business cases for any replacement recommendations.
- Determine and document project scope, partnering closely with business owners and development staff to evaluate feasibility.
- Build strong relationships within PATH to understand the business challenges and opportunities.
- Coordinate resolution of systems issues with third-party software providers.
- Create a collaborative partnership among project stakeholders and effectively communicate project status to all stakeholders.

Required skills and experience:

- Competency is key, but your seven or more years’ of business systems analysis experience with large organization-wide IT projects using both Agile and waterfall methods and bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, business, or related fields are preferred.
