We are looking for a
** Sourcing Manager (Upholstery)** to lead the performance management of all vendors in their region and create and implement a vendor strategy linked to a global sourcing strategy. You will evaluate long term vendor competitiveness by generating vendor and manufacturing options, negotiating commercial agreements, implementing new products and resourcing at multiple vendors in their region.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Implement supplier performance excellence and continuous improvement with existing vendors
- Work with vendors to negotiate efficient costs through bill of material (BOM) and FOB breakdown costing.
- Source new vendors and expend high performing vendors that meet Article’s performance standards to fill our product offering and capacity needs
- Review initial designs and provide feedback on function, quality, and cost engineering opportunities on new product development opportunities.
- Provide leadership and direction to your team of Sourcing Specialists
- Define and execute on vendor strategy and give input to global sourcing strategy
- Identify and mitigate risk (capacity, quality, Article way/ Humanity principles, manufacturing excellence, country risk or global sourcing strategy risk) within your supplier region

**Who you are**:

- Results oriented, proactive and strong at execution
- 10+ years experience with high volume manufacturing and sourcing with 3+ years experience in managerial level
- Previous experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating
- Technical knowledge of upholstered furniture, compliance and lean manufacturing
- Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
- Proven track record in the ability to led a high performing team
- Knowledge in furniture construction and design is considered an asset
- Well networked and experience with vendors in upholstery to develop a strategic vendor portfolio in their region is desired
- Manage and develop a team of sourcing professionals
- Comprehensive understanding of Articles business and future roadmap
