The Invoicing platform at Grab is a comprehensive solution designed to streamline the billing and invoicing process for a wide range of financial transactions. The platform automates the creation, management, and tracking of invoices, ensuring an efficient and reliable system for handling both payments and collections.

**Get to know the Role**

At the invoicing platform, the role of a Data Engineer is essential for managing, organizing, and maintaining data in an efficient and structured manner. Data Engineers are responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, transforming raw financial data from various sources into reports, invoices, bills. They ensure data quality and integrity, enabling the platform to provide accurate and reliable financial information to users.

**The Day-to-Day Activities**
- Design, develop, and maintain an abstract ETL platform for transferring data between Snowflake and Oracle, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Monitor and optimize ETL processes, identifying performance bottlenecks and devising solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Financial Ops and other stakeholders to define and implement data integration requirements.
- Implement data validation and cleansing processes to maintain the highest level of data accuracy and quality.
- Plan and execute data migration activities, ensuring data consistency and minimizing any business disruption.
- Continuously assess new technologies and techniques to enhance the data engineering capabilities of the team.

**The Must-Haves**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on ETL development and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in SQL
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts and ability to design and develop complex data integration processes. Having experience with Airflow is the plus.
- Experience with data warehousing and BI solutions. Having experience with Snowflake/Oracle is a plus.
- Familiarity with at least one cloud computing platforms such as AWS (prefered), Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills.
- Good verbal English communication.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
