**Position Summary - Manufacturing Software Engineer**

The Manufacturing Software Engineer (MSE) supports the Manufacturing Software Department by designing, developing, testing, and deploying software tools and systems for manufacturing operations. They also assist with production issues related to these tools and their supporting hardware. The MSE ensures compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines to meet department expectations and collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams to create advanced solutions where they are expected to take a leadership role to coordinate project deliveries.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- The duties listed below are intended only as examples of the various types of work that you may be asked to perform. 1. Perform the software development life cycle for web and desktop manufacturing tools and systems.

2. Create documentation for the existent and/or new manufacturing software tools and systems.

3. Deploy software tools and systems to the production environment and provide training to personnel.

4. Troubleshoot hardware equipment that supports the functions of software tools and systems.

5. Proficient in:
+ Web development: JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, Apache

+ Desktop development: C#,.NET Framework, ASP.NET Core

+ Database management: SQL, MySQL, MariaDB

+ Development tools and technologies: Visual Studio, Microsoft SSMS, BitBucket (Git), MS ClickOnce

+ Operating systems and technologies: MS Windows, MS Windows Server, MS Windows Services

+ Microsoft 365/Office Suite

+ Basic knowledge of:
+ Single board computers

+ Electrical and electronics engineering

+ Process automation

**Supervisory Responsibilities - List Teams/Groups**

1. Process Engineers who own manufacturing processes using manufacturing software tools and systems.

2. Supervisors and/or Production Leaders involved in the use of software tools and systems.

3. Any team collaborating in the development of integrations or larger manufacturing software tools and systems.

**Qualifications - Knowledge & Experience**

1. 1+ years of software development experience. Preferably in the manufacturing industry.

2. Previous public companies in the electronics or software industries.

3. Proven track record of accountability and ethics

**Education, Licenses & Certification**

4. Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in software development, computational systems, information technologies, or related fields.

**Work Conditions**

1. 48-hours plus per week

2. Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.

3. Sitting for extended periods of time; Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc.

4. Travel domestic or international as needed.
