The primary focus of this position is to architect, evolve, test and implement hardware and software (system level) infrastructure, dealing specifically with Fortna Software department's solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Perform (Architect level) or support (Engineer level) architecting, implementing, operating, managing, and integrating complex enterprise IT systems and infrastructure both internally and externally having to do with client deliverables.-
- Providing the expertise and guidance to peers, leadership and associates on the overall infrastructure architecture as it relates to the Software department's solution strategies.- Providing technical IT expertise to, and assist in, the selection of new hardware and software platforms which assists in attaining the enterprise architecture principles, policies and standards.- Documenting the infrastructure architecture environment and procedures to ensure our infrastructure remains cost effective, efficient, and of high quality.- Assisting in design and setup of Fortna-client secure remote VPN connections.- Assisting in supporting Fortna’s provided infrastructure to our clients.- Producing high quality project, QA, and infrastructure design documentation.- Taking ownership and following through to completion on individual and department goals as agreed upon with the Software Management.- Remote supporting and troubleshooting for new and legacy WCS systems.- Installing new / rebuilding existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.-
- Researching and recommending innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.Operations and Support-
- Performing regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.- Performing daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.- Performing regular file archival and purge as necessary.- Creating, changing, and deleting user accounts per request.- Providing Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies- Investigating and troubleshooting issues.- Repairing and recovering from hardware or software failures.- Coordinating and communicating with impacted constituencies.- Collaborating with other team members to foster a team atmosphere.

Maintenance-
- Configuring/adding new services as necessary.-
- Maintaining operational, configuration, or other procedures.- Performing periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.- Performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.- Maintaining data center environmental and monitoring equipment.- Writing, revising and verifying process and test procedures.- Developing detailed test, deployment and back-out plans.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent- At least 2 years' experience in Linux RHEL/OEL/CentOS admin, VMware or other virtualization- Exellent English Communication- Network topology and infrastructure expertise- Strong understanding of Virtual Private Networking- Working knowledge of server and workstation infrastructure- Strong understanding of high availability protocols and architecture- Ability to keep up with technology trends and emerging best practices to consistently evolve current solutions- Working knowledge of storage area network and network attached storage systems- Working knowledge of Unix compliant command line interfaces- Ability to understand and diagnose client-server architecture- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to project members and stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources-
- Strong aptitude to pick up new tasks and learn new technology quickly-
- Ability to work in a high-paced, highly dynamic environment- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem solving skills- Ability to travel nationally and internationally in the range of 5-10% of the time- Ability to perform essential functions of the job
