SCOPE OF WORK - MOET COORDINATOR

Line Manager: MOET Principal

Work Location: Hanoi Toronto School (Hanoi)

Position Summary

Reporting to the MOET Principal, the MOET coordinator will assist in the implementation of the Integrated program at HTS, including the coordination of Vietnamese teaching staff and ensuring that all MOET requirements and timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the MOET Principal and collaborate with the ex-pat Deputy Principal in MOET delivery and ensure the smooth operation of the integrated programmes.

MOET Curriculum Coordinator
- Coordinate the ex-pat teachers and the Vietnamese teachers, bringing both sides of the school together on academic sides (matching and consolidating the grading system for Vietnamese students), updating the weekly information, regularly updating, and reporting to the Executive Principal.
- Work with the MOET Principal to supervise the Vietnamese teacher classes in line with the timetable and curriculum planning and implementation.
- Manage the regular formative assessment for all Vietnamese students (15 mins, 45 mins, end of term) and changes to student evaluation and reporting systems including progress reports, report cards, parent/teacher conference reports, and individual student learning plans, coordinate with ex-pats teachers to consolidate the reports as required by MOET curriculum, and ensure all the timelines are met.
- Support the MOET Principal and Deputy Principal with planning and organizing school events
- Being the focal point for CPD related to MOET and coordinating the Vietnamese teachers to attend required training sessions, seminars, or workshops upon requirement.
- Manage the Primary student’s database on the MOET system, and support the MOET Principal with correspondence in and out, regularly reporting.
- Ensure all the Vietnamese teacher’s professional profiles are in place and being tracked, and consolidate the Vietnamese teacher’s assessment survey as input for the annual performance review.
- Coordinate with the Deputy Principal to arrange the Vietnamese teacher’s timetable and duty roster arrangement.
- Be responsible for any student exchange and transfer programs within the program.
- Attend the regular meetings with Vietnamese teachers and the Head of MOET, and maintain a record of meetings and topics discussed as required by MOET.
- And any other duties as allocated by the Executive Principal and MOET Principal.
- Teach covered lessons when required
- Responsible for recruitment, training, mentoring, managing, and performance evaluation of Vietnamese visiting teachers.
- Support the development and implementation of the strategic direction of the school having a clear vision and action plan for your designated areas of responsibility as allocated by the MOET Principal
- Have a significant, measurable impact in the areas led
- Have a positive impact on the quality of learning & and teaching through your strategic responsibilities
- Contribute to creating and maintaining an environment and a code of behavior that promotes and secures outstanding teaching, effective learning, and high standards of behavior and achievement.
- Manage designated areas to ensure improvements in students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities and excellent student progress.
- Contribute to creating and maintaining an effective partnership with parents to support and improve students’ achievement and personal development.
- Contribute to developing effective links with the wider community, including local, national, and partnership arrangements, to extend the curriculum and enhance learning and teaching.
- Lead by example acting with integrity and respect in all aspects of leadership, showing professional regard for the policies, practices, and ethos of the school and ISP.
- Foster positive relationships and attitudes to inspire and motivate.
