IFRS17 Finance Solution Senior Specialist

In May 2017, the International Accounting Standards Board published IFRS 17, a new accounting Standard that fundamentally changes the approach to insurance liability valuation. The Standard is effective on 1 January 2023 and IFRS 17 team is established at Prudential Vietnam to enable the company to report its financial position and financial performance to Regional Head Office following IFRS 17 standard. This position assists team lead in preparing IFRS17 financial statements and IFRS17 system/process enhancements.
- Prepare financial reports in accordance with IFRS 17 standards and assist in Financial review done by Group Finance Team/Country Performance Management Team.
- Ensure compliance with all IFRS17 technical interpretation and reporting guidance issued by Group Finance Team.
- Collaborate with the actuarial and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial and management reporting.
- Work with Finance ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) teams and Actuarial team to prepare actual cashflows projection during budget planning process.
- Work with Regional Finance Systems and Data Team in testing and validating impacts of IFRS 17 system enhancements and reflect these enhancements in Process and control documentation.
- Participate in SOX audit, to ensure all controls are properly performed and sufficiently reviewed, in accordance with process flows and controls designed by Group Financial controls Team.
- Participate in external auditor's review/audit, to address audit queries for Half-year/Annual financial statements.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as required by Group Finance Team and other stakeholders.
