**Job Summary**

Rouse Trade Mark Attorneys are important contributors to the team. Trade Mark Attorneys focus on developing the breadth and depth of their technical knowledge and skills. They work closely with senior colleagues, observing their approach to clients and understanding what it means to provide practical and commercial advice. Trade Mark Attorneys are highly enthusiastic team players, who willingly take on tasks and support colleagues and peers. In their dealings with clients and colleagues, they strive to communicate in a clear and unstuffy manner.

**Outline of Responsibilities**

**Client / Business**
- Provide practical and technically sound advice on trademark prosecution matters in a clear and unstuffy manner.
- Conduct trademark searches and advise on the availability, registration ability, and possible infringements.
- Advise and handle Office Actions.
- Work closely with the IP office and other related Government Authorities.
- Meet and exceed client needs and expectations.
- Participate in training and knowledge management activities.
- Other duties as appropriately assigned.

**Leadership / Development**
- Mentor paralegals and trainees.
- Consistently meet statutory and client deadlines.
- Meet specific performance targets.
- Run multiple case files in an organised and proactive manner.
- Comply with risk management protocols and policies.
- Other duties as appropriately assigned.

**Technical Skills**
- Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in IP field;
- Fluent in spoken and written English;
- Strong communication skills with colleagues, clients, officers, and strong negotiation skills with targets;
- Strong organizational and project management skills;
- Detail-oriented, proactive & self-disciplined;
- Can work under pressure, a strong team player;
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- LL.M. from reputable overseas university, a plus
