**Platform Product Manager Wanted for Cash App's Cloud Platform**

We're seeking a skilled Platform Product Manager to lead the development of our Cloud Platform, CloudPlat, which serves as the backbone for Cash App features.

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of AWS architecture and expertise in one of our core platform disciplines, such as Kubernetes, Istio service mesh, Kafka, MySQL/Dynamo databases, or infrastructure provisioning.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Guide the platform product vision and strategies by collaborating with stakeholders, including technical IC leads, leadership, and customers.
  • Understand stakeholder needs through qualitative and quantitative methods, such as customer interviews, surveys, platform usage metrics, and support metrics.
  • Partner with engineering counterparts to brainstorm and develop solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Prioritize critical issues and work with engineering counterparts to establish realistic delivery timeframes.
  • Define product success metrics and work with engineering to ensure they are measurable and relevant to guide platform improvements.
  • Plan and manage the launch of new capabilities, ensuring that all criteria are met, timelines are communicated, and necessary tasks are completed.
  • Lead communication efforts for product launches, roadmap updates, and notifications.
  • Promote platform achievements and deliverables to drive awareness, adoption, and value among stakeholders.
  • Participate in vendor selection and evaluation processes.

**Requirements:**

  • AWS experience required.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a Technical Product Manager, AWS Solutions Architect, or Cloud Architect.
  • Experience drawing relevant insights from ambiguous data and the ability to create and test hypotheses that address customer needs.
  • Experience working with engineers as customers in developer tools, APIs, or infrastructure products.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners.
  • Experience managing competing demands and priorities in cross-functional working groups.
  • Strong customer empathy with experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs.
  • Experience working within a globally distributed team.
