The RoleYour Responsibilities
Build internal networks to support closer cooperation between RMIT Australia, Vietnam and Europe to enable collaborative research and contribute to RMIT Vietnam research aspirations.
Develop partnerships with key development consultancies and other partners (universities, industry) providing funding for R&D in Vietnam, with due diligence conducted for each of the partner.
Explore education opportunities with non-academic partners and pursue opportunities that align with the research priorities of the University, including Sustainable development, Digital Transformation, Industry 4.0 and Smart Cities.
Work with schools and drive submissions for European funding:- Work closely with RMIT Europe to identify relevant Horizon Europe calls
- Engage the schools and identify academics/teams in RMIT Vietnam who are suitable and committed to participating in EU calls and engagement with RMIT Europe activities which support building of research in RMIT Vietnam.
- Help integrating best practices and a community of practice during the engagements.
- Drive submissions to international development funding in collaboration with colleagues at RMIT Melbourne
Provide pre-award consultation for the schools in Vietnam and facilitate any endorsement/approvals required for the participation Be the point of contact for consultation on post award matters for successful projects with European funding (includes any support and advice required by the schools for research contracts, project management, reporting and audit), working closely with RMIT Europe.
Collaborate and engage with all relevant teams in Melbourne, Vietnam and Europe to ensure University processes are followed for any partnership or initiative.
Skills and Experience- A relevant qualification in a related discipline, Masters and above preferred.Well-developed research knowledge and experience.- International experience is desirable.- Proven experience in developing partnerships for organisational success. Depth and breadth of networks in Vietnam and Europe with industry, academic and agencies- Demonstrated customer service ethic and ability to adapt to feedback to drive continuous improvement.- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team and with demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
Demonstrated organisational and time-management skills with a proven record of flexible approach to work.- The position requires the ability to collaborate with an influence stakeholder across the University, and as such strong proficiency and communications in English is essential.

English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (General) with a score of at least 7.5 or equivalent.
