The Environmental Officer will assist and report to the environmental manager.

He/She will ensure the company is compliant on all environmental related items, remains and achieves accreditation and will help to enhance awareness about environmental topics.


Duties / Responsibilities:

Compliance:
-
1.1. Company compliance

  • Examine the activities of the Company to ensure full compliance with environmental legislation across the organisation;
  • Keep up to date with updates on the applicable legislation (including international legislation).
  • Assist Environmental Manager in coordinating all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, and conservation.
  • Assist in auditing, analysing, and reporting environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure the DEEP C entities maintains its accreditations ISO and others and help to achieve more environmental related accreditations.

1.2. Environmental monitoring

  • Prepare the monthly report on the environmental performance of the Company and others related reports for the authorites' inspections and examinations.

1.3. Reporting

  • Assist Environmental Manager in controlling the progress of developing the Social and Environmental Impact Assessments reports and monitoring program and the applicable permits.

1.4. Environmental Audits

  • Perform internal audits at site.
  • Assist and inspect site before and during inspections and examinations.

2. Sustainability

  • Develop and implement environmental management and recycling systems to continually optimize the environmental impact of the company (on environmental and economical level).

3. QHSE Training program

  • Assist the Environmental Manager to organize staff training and ensure all members of the workforce recognize and understand their own contributions to improved environmental performance;
  • Promote and raise awareness, at all levels of an organisation, of the impact of emerging environmental issues;
  • Toolbox trainings (very short);
  • Monthly safety training.

4. Customer relations

  • Screen the potential environmental impacts of new customers and report internally to the Environmental Manager;
  • Assist potential customers in obtaining the necessary environmental permits;
  • Coordinate public hearings and consulatations on environmental matters;
  • Offer QHSE consultancy to the DEEP C's subsidiaries and affiliates when required.

  • Assist in the organisation of events.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Chemical, environmental engineer or equal by experience.
  • Proven experience for 5 years in a function related to environmental reporting.
  • QHSE related qualifications and certificates are an advantage.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Environmental management knowledge and fast acumen of environmental technical solutions;
  • Selfmotivated and ability to settle independently environmental complaints;
  • Flexibiliy and strong adaption to a rapidly changing working condition.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Vietnamese.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Sustainability and reliability are part of your identity.
  • Motivated to work together in the most efficient manner.
