Position Summary


The Program Manager Vietnam will work with the PMO team in Vietnam to support the delivery of all ITS projects within the VN program of work, including Property projects.

The Program Manager supports the ITS Director VN and VN PMO team in establishing and delivering a roadmap of initiatives that bring benefits to the University.

The Program Manager will plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the program of work to ensure each project or program contributes to the overall success of the portfolio.

The Program Manager will identify risks, manage issues, and assess appropriateness of work for the program; identifying interdependencies, impacts on business activity, deviations from strategic aims, erosion of expected benefits, program staffing, and costs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Support the VN ITS Director and VN ITS PMO in establishing and delivering to a roadmap of initiatives that drive benefits for the University.
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the infrastructure program and property projects to ensure each contributes to the portfolio's success.
  • Maintain key delivery relationships with partners and vendors to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Manage project budgets within the program, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered benefits.
  • Identify risks, manage issues, and assess appropriateness of work for the program, considering interdependencies and impacts.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and customers to enable efficient project delivery.
  • Cultivate a results-oriented culture with agile practices and effective project management to align initiatives with business value.
  • Provide leadership to program and project teams, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers to ensure smooth transition to support and facilitate standardization across project portfolios.
  • Advocate PMO methods and tools for standardized service delivery.
  • Assist with pipeline demands and estimates in consultation with stakeholders.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience required.
  • Prince 2 or PMBOK certified.
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification (preferred).
  • Agile Certification i.e. SAFe, Scrum (preferred).
  • Extensive Program manager experience managing ITS program of work.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail in communications to identify and solve issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading Infrastructure programs and property projects.
