Responsibilities:

  • Design and illustrate compelling 2D artwork for all game products, including characters, environments, UI, and other visual assets
  • Develop and execute the overall visual style and aesthetic of the game through sketches, concept art, and final asset creation
  • Collaborate closely with the design, engineering, and production teams to ensure the successful implementation of the game's visuals
  • Maintain production documentation and organize assets to support an efficient development workflow
  • Create new game assets and update existing ones for marketing purposes such as promotional materials, packages, and websites
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members to align on creative direction and resolve technical or artistic issues
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the game's visual quality by researching and advising on new tools and technologies
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager to support the overall success of the project

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience as a dedicated Game Artist or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D art software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, and Unity
  • Extensive portfolio showcasing a variety of art styles, techniques, and game-ready assets
  • Solid understanding of visual design principles, including composition, color theory, and perspective
  • Experience in creating compelling character designs, environments, animations, and UI elements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for gaming and a strong interest in the art and design of video games
  • Adaptability to different art styles and the ability to create assets that resonate with the game's target audience
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, polished artwork
